BACKGROUND
Thulaganyo Nursing School was officially opened on the 1st of May 2015. It is allocated in Taung, a rural area in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati Municipal District. The Greater Taung sub-district of North West Province has a population of 172364 and is surrounded by 106 villages.
The company is registered with the Companies and Intellectual Properties Commission (CIPC) under the registration number 2012/014378/07 and with the South African Nursing Council and operates legitimately with the SANC Registration number: S126.
The Managing Director and Principal Mrs Mogomotsi Venecia Lobelo is a woman from the previously disadvantaged community.
Being a professional nurse and nursing educator with decades of experience, she saw an opportunity in the market to start a nursing school in her hometown village of Taung in the North West Province of South Africa.

The school is a tertiary level Nursing Institution that has been based at the Old Batlhaping High School site since 2010.
Upon acquiring the premises from Public Works, vigorous renovations were made to the then dilapidated building to render it habitable and in adherence to the criteria required by the South African Nursing Council prior to being accredited as a Nursing School.

As of 2017, the school has produced 77 qualified Auxiliary Nurses ,69 qualified Enrolled Nurses, and 66 General nurses who are all currently employed and active in the healthcare industry, thus improving their respective livelihoods.

Institution strives to produce a competent, skilled, knowledgeable nurse who will be a critical thinker, accountable, efficient health care worker that is capable of functioning within health care team.
